Zound Industries is a headphone fashion house in which several brands, licensing ventures, private-label manufacturing and retail concepts reside. Based in Stockholm Sweden, Zound Industries HQ currently houses around 40 talented individuals who breathe life into each brand (Urbanears, Marshall headphones, Coloud and Molami). As Technical Product Manager you are responsible for managing, developing and building Zound Industries' technical department. You ensure processes, structure and quality and are also responsible for the company's technical development. The job includes innovation and research surrounding new technology in the audio segment (Wifi, wireless, noise cancelling, etc.). You ensure that the products comply with safety-, legal- and certification requirements as well as standards in different markets, including electrical safety and environmental requirements in accordance with EU directives. Your area of responsibility also includes project management and responsibility for the following areas: product improvements, price optimisation, and environmental development and research for future production methods and materials. You are responsible for drafting and documentation of technical- and product information as well as dealing with purchase of consultancy services and subcontractors with specific technical knowledge.
You have a genuine interest in and great passion for technology and innovation. You have previous experience of working with Asia within product development and production. You have a background in engineering, probably with a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and have worked as a project manager for at least a couple of years. You speak and write English fluently and have excellent communication skills. You are hands on, highly self-motivated and driven. You have good leadership qualities, know how to push through your concerns and have a critical eye when so required. In addition you are used to cross-border cooperation and have good social skills. You are highly structured and meticulous.
We would like you to have experience from a similar position, it is a plus if you have worked with consumer electronics products.
