Electronics packaging and reliability expert

We are looking for a person to join the Electronics Group at Swerea IVF in Mölndal to strengthen our expertise in reliability of electronic hardware.

You will mainly work in national and European research projects. Management of research projects and writing proposals for new projects are in the long term a central part of the work. The research is more focused on industrial research and development than on academic merit and it is therefore necessary to develop and maintain good contacts with industry.

You have a PhD degree in an electronics- or materials related field. You have knowledge and experience from work with reliability based on "physics of failure" as well as with thermo-mechanical simulations, especially when it comes to cracking in laminates. Experience of multi-physics simulation of electronics is a merit as well as experience from developing electronics packaging and/or microsystems in an industrial environment or in close cooperation with industry.

You speak and write English fluently and have experience in project management and preferably also experience in writing proposals for research projects.

This is a full-time position at Swerea IVF´s head office in Mölndal, Sweden.
