Your profile
You have working experience within the field of thermomechanical processes and first-hand knowledge of research to investigate and understand the link between metallurgical processes and microstructure. You have a Master of Engineering in materials science, and perhaps completed doctoral studies within the field. Since we have well equipped laboratories, previous working knowledge with dilatometer or Gleeble systems is positive, and especially in combination with microscopy and/or numerical methods.
Your tasks
As a senior researcher you will often work as a project leader, which include responsibilities such as project planning of budget and resources, but also the scientific quality and deliverables to customers. In the work, a common task is to investigate the connection between alloying, microstructure, phase transformations, and mechanical properties of metallic materials. The results of your research can be used to determine the optimal processing route for new materials in service, which is done in close connection with our customers. Our focus is mainly on low-alloyed and ultra-high strength steels, although other types of metallic materials are frequently involved as well.
