For an international consulting firm we are hiring an individual that wants to take on the exciting opportunity to lead the professional development of the Firm’s consultants and the coordination across Sweden. This role includes managing a team of +10 managers within the Recruiting, Staffing and Learning efforts and work closely with the Partner Group.
Overall job description
The PD Manager will be responsible for leading and ensuring execution of a full range of professional development activities (together with partners and the professional development teams), lead, design, organize and deploy distinctive professional development processes and systems related to recruiting, staffing, training, evaluation process and compensation structure of consultants.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Lead, manage, evaluate and inspire the professional development team, support new-hire integration, connectivity and performance evaluations etc.
- Manage the full range of professional development and staffing activities on a daily basis which requires strong developing professional relationships with consultants as well as building trust and relationships with partners
- Evaluation processes, coaching and guidance within career progression and skill development/initiatives for consultants
- Manage personnel practices as needed, enhance development by leading/participating in different office initiatives as well as collaborate with the Firm’s global network of professional development and staffing initiatives and practices
- Lead analysis and reporting of key professional development metrics and serve as an advisor and sounding board for local community building activities and people functions
This role is suitable for an experienced professional development manager or for a senior consultant with interest in professional development and people topics. “Must have” skills are excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills at all levels as well as strong influencing capabilities and ability to listen. You also need initiative and drive, a non- hierarchical approach, a professional attitude and ease to interact with colleagues on all levels as well as strong integrity and maturity.
This role requires at least five to seven years of work experience in a consulting and/or multi-national environment and a university degree from a renowned university. Professional language is English, fluency in Swedish is a plus but not required.
