We are now seeking a Senior Content Strategist to come and join our industry leading agency team and continue to help our clients discover ‘What’s Next…’
As a Senior Content Strategist you are responsible for ensuring the high quality creation and ongoing maintenance of content for DigitasLBi clients. You also provide guidance on what quality means for a given customer, appropriate content to accomplish customer goals, effective sourcing for that content, and ongoing governance to ensure content is created, maintained and retired appropriately. This role manages ongoing content strategy projects, likely monitoring the work of colleagues on larger projects.
We believe you have a strong working knowledge of content strategy and know how they work from start to finish. You will lead content strategy pitches and you will be responsible for content strategy parts in larger pitches.
To be successful in this role we see that you are at a senior level, with broad industry experience. You should be able to jump in to any aspect of content strategy and add value, as well as have expertise in other areas of the business. Ideally you come from an agency background, or client-side with experience managing agency work. Furthermore you should have the ability to look beyond content strategy to see broad business trends, and be up to date with the latest work in digital and content strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure appropriate content engagement with clients
- Manage content strategy creation for clients, including ensuring appropriate deliverables (audit, competitor analysis, content planning, gap analysis, strategy, governance, etc.) are completed to standard and aligned with other strategy teams.
- Perform content audits for clients including analyzing quality of content to metrics, overall structure of content, and suitability of content for future reuse.
- Write up the findings of the audit to be shared with the client, usually in deck format.
- Review content analytics for key findings to support content strategy.
- Review competitors/comparators in a given space for best practices/latest innovations.
- Create content strategies.
- Present content strategy to clients.
- Create editorial calendars with recommended topics/timings/distribution channels
- Run content workshops with clients
- To stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends developments and best-practices.
- Be an ambassador for Content Strategy within DLBi and encourage its wider engagement with the agency’s other services and disciplines.
Must have
- +/5+ years of experience in content/digital/agency
- Experience building and executing on content strategies
- Extensive experience working with content either in a creation or management role
- Experience working with on-page SEO content optimization
- Experience working with content optimization on social channels
- Experience in content localization processes
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong client presentation skills
- Willingness to dive in and get work done as needed
- Drive to see customers succeed
- Innovative problem solver
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- University degree needed, preferably in a relevant subject for instance marketing, communication or journalism
- Agency experience helpful, but not essential
