WE ARE LOOKING FOR A COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER FOR THE MARSHALL HEADPHONES AND MOLAMI BRANDS
Zound Industries is expanding and we’re looking to strengthen our brand teams within the marketing department. Two of these brands are Marshall Headphones & speakers and Molami.
Mission and focus areas:
We are looking for a passionate communicator with an entrepreneurial mindset and a knack for building brands. As Communications Manager, you will be an integral part of our marketing team, helping to create brand identities by developing compelling marketing communication messaging and campaign ideas that will reach millions of consumers worldwide.
Overall responsibilities:
As Communications Manager, you will be responsible for the overall communication strategy and execution for the Marshall Headphones and Molami brands. This position covers all facets of communication, including PR, copywriting, social media, web content, e-mail marketing, sales material and internal communication. It’s a challenging and exciting post, where you will be afforded the opportunity to bring your ideas to the table and work to have them realized. You will work closely with the Brand Manager to develop marketing communication and campaign ideas along with a small team of Graphic Designers, Web Editors and Project Managers.
Main activities and responsibilities:
Global Strategy
- Setting and implementing the global communications strategy for the Marshall Headphones and Molami brands. This includes brand messaging, social media strategy, press strategy and content strategy.
Copywriting
- Copywriting for packaging, new product launches, covering a range of print and digital channels including social media, e-mail marketing, sales-related material, presentations, press kits, press releases and advertisements.
Social Media and Content Management
- Developing content ideas and working with external partners to have them realized as well as maintaining a content/editorial calendar for all channels including social media, brand websites and e-mail marketing.
- Developing, creating and implementing social media campaigns for product launches and events, as well as developing ideas for always-on campaigns.
- Responsible for day-to-day social media content duration and social media monitoring.
- Responsibility for driving and setting an advertising budget for social media campaigns for channels such as Facebook, Twitter and social media video distribution around launches, but also ongoing campaigns to build a following and realize digital marketing goals.
Public Relations
- Maintaining strong relationships with top-tier lifestyle and tech editors, bloggers and influencers to pitch key storylines.
- Responsibility for managing six press agencies in our key markets. This includes managing monthly reports from the agencies, communicating launch strategies and ordering product and displays to ensure each agency´s showroom is prepared for press days, stylist pulls and editorial loans.
- Pitching campaigns and activations to internal staff and PR agencies regarding press events (both B2B and consumer facing) and helping to organize events together with production agencies and PR agencies. This includes list management, step and repeat info sheets for photographers.
- Acting as a key liaison for the external professional/media world. This position plays a key role in developing and maintaining the company’s relationships with external parties. Networking and maintaining relationships are a vital part of this role.
External Partners & Agencies
- Working with our network of distributors around the world to localize global content, but also to lift local content globally and advise on social media initiatives.
- Guiding distributors and partners on communication strategy in line with the brand’s goals and objectives.
- Working with external agencies and third-parties on digital marketing activities and alongside our web agencies to develop campaigns.
Requirements:
- A degree in Communications, Marketing, Media or Journalism.
- Outstanding communication skills at all levels; English native speaker level of proficiency.
- Digital marketing experience an asset, including knowledge and experience working with and managing large-scale content for SEM, social and display channels.
- Experience working at a PR agency, communications bureau, digital marketing agency or in-house communications team.
- Great understanding of brand building, marketing and sales.
- Awareness of what end-consumers want and how to create commercial value.
- A strong doer, with the ability to think creatively and take initiative.
- Interest in fashion and consumer trends.
