IT Operations Team Lead
Greenpeace Nordic is now looking for a team leader to join our IT Operations team. If you have the right profile and burn with passion for running an IT team and working for a just cause, we want to hear from you!
Your role:
As our Nordic IT Operations Team Lead, you will be responsible for the development of the IT operations team and the performance of all IT support processes. In this role, you will support all offices where Greenpeace Nordic is present, remote workers as well as volunteers, guests and visitors and will also be a part of the Global IT community to maintain internal relationships with global Greenpeace service providers.
As the team leader, you will oversee, run and develop all IT Operations projects and related budgets, and delegate tasks and/or projects to the team members as necessary. In addition, you will also manage a training portfolio and provide and plan trainings to end users and colleagues for supported systems and services. The Team Leader role leads the management of work tasks for the IT Operations team but has no direct line management of the team members. You will be working in a daytime shift rotation and plan the support resource availability on a day to day basis.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Managing IT Operations infrastructure architecture and design
- Managing procurement and related standards of IT infrastructure and services
- Developing and implementing the IT Operations strategic objectives
- Overseeing internal and external service level agreements
- Developing and implementing our Nordic, as well as global, IT related policies and procedures
- Overseeing IT Operations Work & Travel Schedule
- Undertaking travel to our other Nordic offices as needed and occasionally work outside regular office hours
- Other tasks as assigned by Head of IT.
Your education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT and/or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of five years of broad IT support and infrastructure work
- Experience leading a team, preferably in an international organisation
- Expert understanding of IT Support processes and IT infrastructure
- Good understanding of IT information security
- Good understanding of communication in an IT support role
- Experience training users, preferably in a remote setting
- Good understanding of procurement of hardware, software and services
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills, ability to work with deadlines and delegate tasks efficiently in an international and geographically distributed team
- Proficiency in the English language - proficiency in a Nordic language(s) is an advantage.
